SUMMIT, Miss. — Southwest Mississippi Community College’s Practical Nursing Program has been awarded Full Accreditation by the Mississippi Board of Nursing for the next eight years, following a comprehensive review that found the program compliant with all required standards and criteria.
The accreditation reflects the program’s commitment to providing students with a high-quality nursing education that prepares graduates to enter the healthcare workforce with the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience needed to succeed.
“This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our nursing faculty and staff, whose commitment to excellence ensures our students receive an outstanding educational experience,” said Stephanie Greer, Associate Vice President for Nursing. “We are proud of this recognition and the impact our graduates continue to make in the communities they serve.”
The Mississippi Board of Nursing’s accreditation process evaluates nursing programs on established educational standards, helping ensure students receive an education that meets the expectations of the nursing profession.
