Tennis Recap: SMCC vs Pearl River

The Southwest tennis teams suffered defeats at the hands of Pearl River Tuesday with the women falling 9-0 and the men going down 7-2. Winning for the men were Zach Eckman and Tyler Howell (8-6) in #1 doubles and Howell (6-1, 6-4) in # 2 singles.

The Southwest women’s tennis team fell 8-1 to Co-Lin on Monday. The lone win for the Lady Bears was Morgan McKee’s 2-6, 6-2 (12-10) victory over Nicole Magee.

The Southwest tennis teams had mixed results in their matches this week with the women falling at East Central 5-1 and the men going down 8-1. At Pearl River, the Southwest women lost 7-2 and the men 5-2.
