Fall 2010 Orientation Sessions

All first-time freshmen are required to attend one of our scheduled Freshmen Orientation sessions. First-time freshmen will not be allowed to pre-schedule classes at SMCC without attending Orientation.

This summer, SMCC will host five Freshman Orientation Sessions. During your Orientation session, you will have the opportunity to meet with an advisor to pre-schedule your classes. Also, administrative offices, in the Hughey Building, will be open for all Orientations to answer questions concerning financial aid and scholarships, housing, admission, fee payment and to make ID cards.

To reserve a seat for an Orientation session you will need your SMCC student ID number. Your SMCC student ID number will be assigned when your Application for Admission (PDF) is processed by the Registrar’s Office. Keep in mind that your registration is not official until general admission to the college is complete. This means that you must be a high school graduate or have passed the GED, and the Registrar's Office must have an OFFICIAL transcript on file indicating the date of high school graduation or completion of the GED. There is no registration fee.

Orientation sessions are scheduled on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, June 15, 1:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 22, 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 8, 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 15, 1:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 11, 9:00 a.m.

To register for Orientation, print, complete, and mail the Orientation Registration Form (PDF) or complete the Online Registration Form.
